Once a month, you and your coach sit down and review the past four weeks; what worked, what needs adjusting, and what the block ahead looks like. This is where the plan genuinely gets built around you, not a template. It's the most important session of the month.
Every session is pushed directly to your Garmin, COROS or Wahoo the night before. Warm-up, intervals, target paces, rest durations; it's all loaded on your wrist. No spreadsheets, no printed schedules, no guesswork mid-session.
Full platform access, including your long-term performance curves, chronic training load, acute training load and training stress balance. You'll understand why each week is built the way it is and your coach can spot red flags before they become problems.
Got a question at 10pm the night before a long run? A niggle you're not sure about? Your coach is on WhatsApp every day. Nothing waits for a scheduled call, responses the same day, every day.
After two months on Gold, you'll receive the JM Coaching singlet. Wear it on race day, at your local parkrun or in training. You're part of the team, it's only right you look the part.
A members area with training resources, nutrition guides, drills, technique videos and race-day prep content. The kind of material that usually sits behind a separate subscription, included as standard.
A private group of JM athletes — experienced runners who understand the grind. Share race results, training blocks, taper nerves and everything in between. The community is one of the most underrated parts of what we do.
Savings on gear, race entries and services from our partner brands. Discounts that accumulate over a season and more than justify themselves the first time you need to replace a pair of shoes.
Is This Right For You?
This level is for experienced runners who know what they want. If you've run a few marathons and you're tired of not hitting your goal time, or you're targeting your first Boston Qualifier and need someone to build the exact plan to get you there, this is the right fit. You've done the work before. You just need it to be better.
The monthly call is the part that makes the biggest difference. Every four weeks we actually talk about your training, what went well, what was a grind, how life got in the way, and how we adjust. That's not something you get from a generic plan. It's where the coaching actually happens.
Gold isn't for every runner, and it's not meant to be. If you're new to running or still building a base, our Performance (Silver) or Classic (Bronze) tiers are a better starting point. But if you're already putting in the miles and you want the structure and support to make them count, this is where we work.
The runners who get the most out of Gold are the ones who come in with clear goals, take their training seriously, and want a coach who does the same. If that sounds like you, get in touch and we'll have a chat before anything else.
What To Expect
Complete rest or an easy 20-minute shakeout after Sunday's long run. Most athletes take this fully off, recovery is training.
Speed or VO2 max work, intervals, reps or a fartlek. Loaded to your GPS the night before with exact pace targets and rest durations.
50–60 minutes at a genuinely easy pace. Heart rate stays low. This is the session most runners do too fast, your coach keeps it honest.
Threshold or tempo work, sustained effort at or around race pace. The session that builds the engine. Synced to GPS with full structure.
Short easy run or full rest, decided by your coach based on your weekly load in TrainingPeaks. You're not guessing; the data guides it.
A longer effort with pace work built in, or a local race as part of the build. Often includes time at goal race pace.
The cornerstone of the week. Paced carefully to build aerobic base without digging a fatigue hole. Duration and structure vary by phase.
Athlete Review
"I was paired with coach Mollie, who took all the guesswork and stress out of my training. She got me to the start line of each race in 2025 feeling super confident and I've picked up PBs from 5k to marathon along the way."
Got Questions?
The call is a proper review, not a quick check-in. Your coach pulls up your TrainingPeaks data beforehand — your training load, completed sessions, how you responded to the harder days — and uses that to shape the plan for the next four weeks. You talk through your goals, any niggles, upcoming life commitments and anything you're unsure about. The plan that follows is based on that conversation, not a copy-paste template. Between calls, WhatsApp is open for anything that can't wait a month.
Yes — sub-3 and the Boston Qualifier standard are exactly the kind of targets Gold is built for. At that level the margins are tight enough that generic training, or even good training without real-time adjustment, isn't enough. Your coach tracks your training stress in TrainingPeaks, times your fitness peak to your goal race, and adapts the plan as the block progresses. The GPS-synced workouts mean you're hitting the right paces — not the close-enough paces. We also have coaches within the team who have run at this standard themselves, so the guidance comes from experience, not a textbook.
TrainingPeaks Premium gives you full access to the platform — including your long-term performance curves, chronic training load (CTL), acute training load (ATL) and training stress balance (TSB). These numbers tell you how fit you are, how fatigued you are, and whether you're heading into race day in the right place or buried under too much training. Your coach can see all of it in real time. It's included in Gold because managing training load properly at this level requires the full picture — and we don't want you flying blind on your own fitness.
Once your coach posts a session in TrainingPeaks, it's automatically pushed to any connected GPS device — Garmin, COROS, Wahoo and most other major platforms are supported. When you start the workout on your watch, it steps you through each rep: warm-up, pace target, rest duration, cool-down. You don't need to check your phone during the session or memorise the structure. It all lives on your wrist. If you're not sure whether your device is compatible, just ask when you get in touch and we'll confirm before you sign up.
All JM Coaching plans are monthly rolling — there's no minimum term or lock-in. If you start on Gold and your schedule changes, you can step down to Performance (Silver) at £75/month or Classic (Bronze) at £60/month at any point. If you're starting on a lower tier and want to upgrade as your target race approaches, the same applies. You can also view the full coaching overview on our services page to compare all three tiers side by side.
