Bronze is where JM Coaching started. It's the platform that helped hundreds of runners get their first PBs and it remains the most accessible way into structured, coach-led training. Simple, personal and built on over a decade of coaching experience.
Every day your coach shares tips, reminders and insights through the group. Pacing advice, recovery cues, race-day prep, nutrition pointers. It's drip-fed coaching knowledge that builds up over a season and makes a genuine difference to how you think about your training.
Your coach is available on WhatsApp every day. Message whenever you need, whether it's a question about pacing, a niggle you're not sure about, or a quick gut check on how a session felt. There's no such thing as a bad question. Your coach is there to help.
Each week your plan is posted in TrainingPeaks, personalised to you, your goal event and your current fitness. Sessions update based on your feedback and how you're progressing. Your coach monitors your data and adjusts the plan as the weeks go on.

Is This Right For You?
Bronze is for runners who are ready to take their training seriously but want to keep things simple. If you've been running off a free plan, following generic advice online or just winging it week to week, this is the step up that makes a real difference. You get a proper coach, a proper plan and someone to message when you're not sure what to do. Personally, I think every runner should experience some form of coaching, and Bronze is the most accessible way in.
It works best for self-sufficient runners who are happy to crack on with their sessions, check in via WhatsApp when needed and trust the process. That's not a criticism. Some runners genuinely prefer to work that way, and Bronze is built around exactly that. At this point of the build, what matters most is consistency, and having a plan that moves with you gives you that structure.
Be honest with yourself about what you need. If you're someone who thinks you'd benefit from a proper kick-off call, pre-race calls and a more hands-on relationship, Performance (Silver) at £75 a month is worth the extra. If you want monthly calls, GPS-synced workouts and the full package, Elite (Gold) at £120 a month is where that lives. But if you want structured, personalised coaching without the commitment to regular calls, Bronze covers what you need at a price that makes it easy to start.

What To Expect
There's no rigid template for what a week looks like, and that's by design. Your plan changes based on your fitness, your schedule and where you are in your training block. What you can expect is a personalised plan dropping into TrainingPeaks each week with sessions already mapped out: usually one or two quality runs (speed work or threshold), a long run at the weekend, and easy miles to fill the gaps. Your coach is watching your data and adjusting the plan based on feel and what you're actually completing, not a one-size programme built for someone else.
Through the WhatsApp group, you'll get daily coaching tips and reminders. Before a quality session, your coach might post something about the pacing approach. After your long run, there's often a check-in or a debrief from the group. It keeps the coaching relationship active without needing a scheduled call. Most athletes find the WhatsApp contact is more valuable than they expected before they started.
At this point of the build, consistency matters more than any individual session. Having a plan that's personalised to you, updated week to week and supported by a coach who can answer questions the same day is what Bronze delivers. Simple, consistent, effective.

What you won't get is a regular call, which means you'll need to be fairly self-directed and willing to reach out when something doesn't feel right. If you're completely new to running and think you'd benefit from a proper introductory call and more structured check-ins at the start, Silver at £75 a month is probably the better fit. But if you're comfortable following a plan, asking questions on WhatsApp and getting on with it, Bronze is a great starting point and one of the most affordable ways to get a proper coach behind your training.
The main difference is calls. Bronze gives you a personalised weekly plan, unlimited WhatsApp support, daily coaching tips and access to the JM Run Club community. Silver adds a kick-off call at the start, calls at the beginning of each major training block and a call before key races. If the idea of speaking to your coach at those key moments sounds valuable to you, Silver is worth the extra £15 a month. If you're confident managing your training independently and want a coach in your corner for the plan and WhatsApp support, Bronze covers what you need. A lot of runners start on Bronze, get comfortable with structured coaching, and upgrade to Silver when they feel ready for more.
Yes. Your training plan is delivered through TrainingPeaks and it's how your coach tracks your progress and adjusts the programme week to week. TrainingPeaks has a free tier and a premium tier. With Bronze coaching, the free version is all you need. If you want the full data dashboard, including your chronic training load and training stress balance, the premium version unlocks that. TrainingPeaks Premium is included as standard with Silver and Gold coaching. Setting up your account is straightforward and your coach will walk you through it when you get started.
Once you're set up, you'll be added to a WhatsApp group with your coach and fellow JMC athletes. Your coach shares daily tips, training reminders and coaching insights through the group throughout the week. You can also message your coach directly with any questions, whether it's about a session, a niggle, a race choice or just a gut check on how a run went. A lot of runners start on Bronze, experience what structured coaching feels like and move up to Silver or Gold (Elite) when they want more from the relationship. If you decide you want the call structure of Silver at £75 a month, or the monthly calls and GPS-synced workouts of Gold at £120 a month, just let us know.
